You might have been told that there are no known cause and no known treatments (except for maybe some behavioural therapy) for autism…
Is that true? Can there be no other way?
Autism is commonly defined as a neurodevelopmental disorder which means that it is an impairment of the growth and development of the brain or central nervous system.
However what if this wasn’t the case?
What if instead it is a systemic disorder that involves the brain, gut and immune system.
These 3 systems are very much interdependent and require one another to be in balance. Especially during the crucial developmental stage of your child’s life, these systems are very sensitive and susceptible to oxidative stress.
Based newer research and studies conducted, there are reasons to believe that autism is a genetically-influenced and environmentally-triggered disease of the brain and body that involves several vicious cycles and is potentially treatable.
What are these vicious cycles?
They represent problems in your child’s gut (with digestion, absorption, etc); problems in your child’s immune system (with allergies, inflammation, frequent infections, etc); problems in your child’s detoxification system (with an inability to remove germs, toxic chemicals, heavy metals from their systems), which results in excessive oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction.
Rather than a single cause, it’ll be much more realistic to look at a couple of factors. These are:
These factors when present together during your child’s crucial developmental years potentially manifest into autism which affects your child’s brain development, gut and immune system.
Your digestive system is supposedly your body’s source of nourishment and nutrients. However when your child has gut/digestive problems, it instead becomes a major source of toxicity in their body.
So not only are they deprived of vital nutrients for the proper development and functioning, they are at the same time being bombarded with more toxins (leaked into the bloodstream from the gut, etc)
This primarily involves changing your child’s diet:
Reduce your child’s exposure to environmental toxins such as heavy metals (lead, aluminum, arsenic, cadmium, mercury), solvents (alcohol, chlorine, benzene) and industrial chemicals (PCBs, pesticides, herbicides). Click HERE for tips on detoxing your house.
Go for organic produce and meat as much as possible (especially when eating these).
Here are some that you might want to consider:
Best is to do a blood or urine test for any nutritional deficiency. That way, you can customise the supplementation to suit your child’s needs.
Did you know: Studies found that levels of glutathione are significantly lower in autistic children than in the children without autism.
Glutathione (GSH) detoxifies a large number of pollutants, carcinogens, heavy metals, pesticides, and other environmental toxins. It is constantly at work as a scavenger of free radicals and as a detoxifying enzyme of dozens of foreign substances and toxins in your body.
Deficiency of glutathione in your child’s body causes excessive oxidative stress. This is because their cells cannot deal with the damaging free radials adequately. Besides that, it also leaves them vulnerable against countless environmental toxins as their detoxification process is unable to cope.
The excessive free radials can damage the sensitive cells in their brain, gastrointestinal tract, and their immune system. These which eventually lead to the development of autism.
Fighting oxidative damage, high GSH levels may help prevent the following complications of Autism:
“There are many myths and mysteries about raising glutathione…
Let me be clear – Immunocal is the only natural patented protein proven to raise and sustain glutathione levels and help the immune system.”

I’m a mother of an autistic son. He was diagnosed with autism at the age of 2-1/2. I’ve tried medicating him and it made him have mood swings. Tracy is now 14 years old and attends a special needs school in New York. When I heard of Immunocal, I was a little unsure, because nothing I tried ever worked. However, bringing Immunocal into my son’s life was one of the best things I did. Tracy has been on Immunocal for three months.
Before Immunocal my son use to have outbursts in school. For instance, these would involve throwing, hitting, and sometimes running out of the classroom. I would worry about what kind of a day my son would have.
Since Immunocal, he started back to school on September 3 and he has had only one outburst. And the teacher said that he recovered within minutes. There have been no other outbursts. Actually, the Parent/Teacher communication note says that Tracy is doing a wonderful job. Now, when I come home, I’m not worried, but rather excited to see the positive notes that my son brings home.
Here are some examples of how my son has progressed. When I use to ask him, “What did you do in school today?” he would just repeat the question I asked him. Since Immunocal, I recently asked him the same question. He responded: “I write with pencils.” His coloring has also improved. Before Immunocal he use to color outside the lines and everywhere. Since Immunocal he colors much better, staying in the lines and using different colors rather than just sticking to one color.
He is able to tell me when he is not feeling good. Actually, he was out of school Monday. That meant 3 days out of school, which usually meant the next school day would not be a good day. But since taking Immunocal, when he returned to school, the Parent/Teacher communication note said Tracy had an excellent day. We are so proud of him.
You can imagine how my heart rejoices. Immunocal is a blessing for my family and I want to thank everyone who had a part in Immunocal. I’m very grateful.
